It has recently come to my attention that many of you out there are wondering if I am still training individuals for shows and if my tanning and make up services are still available since the addition to our family of our daughter Aspen Jade. Although some people out there are saying that I am NO LONGER offering any of these services IT IS QUITE THE OPPOSITE. I have been back to work doing online programs a week after Aspen was born and back to training clients in studio 5 weeks after she was born. So YES I am still going STRONG and The Luchka Athletes team is growing and we welcome anyone who is looking for a trainer, tan or make up to contact me and we can talk about all of our services further. Luchka Athletes Run 5k's

Luchka Athletes participated in 2 different 5k's on Oct 18th and Oct 19th. Oct 18th, Tina D and Ola L ran the Toronto Zoo 5K. Congratst to Ola Lysyk for running her first 5k marathon!! She did this run in 30 mins!! First time, GREAT JOB OLA!! Oct 19th Tina ran the Toronto Marathon 5k run, raising money for the Princess Margaret Hospital! Congrats Ladies!! Keep up the great work!

This past weekend Luchka Athletes hit the stage as well as the cameras! Olivia Mcguire competing in the INBA show in New York City placing 2nd in masters and 4th in open! Congrats Olivia!! Now some time off before training for the Arnolds. Cristine Adams took on the WBFF show. This is her first time competing and placed 5th!! Congrats Cristine!! You've been bitten by the competition bug! Next stop UFE??! For sure!!! SMILE....Several LUCHKA ATHLETES had photoshoots this past weekend. Shooting with Professional Photographer, John Atherton, the ladies...and guys!, had a great time and a great experience.

Luchka Athlete runs for a good cause

Tina De Luca, Luchka Athlete, took part in the “Sunnybrook’s Underwear Affair” in Toronto, on Saturday, August 23, 2008. This 10K Run raises money to help find a cure for cancers below the waist, like prostate, colorectal, ovarian, cervical and others. A fun 10K run where each runner can choose their running attire from briefs or boxers to t-shirts and tracksuits! Congratulations Tina on helping raise money for a cure!

With 20 plus competitors in almost every class, the judges cut the classes down to 15 competitors after the first round. Luchka Athletes hit the stage again this past weekend at the biggest show in Ontario, the Ontario championships, the SAF model Search and in Miami, Musclemania. The Luchka team competed very well with 4 making top 3 at Ontarios and qualifying for Nationals in BC. Congrats to all the athletes....all the training, and Eating clean (with NO cheating, unless they were told to), and endless cardio, its all worth it in the end! Some of the athletes are now in Off-Season (so enjoy and lets make some great changes for next season), and some are still in contest mode. Great Start for Luchka Athletes

Luchka Athletes took the stage this past weekend in Stratford , Ontario and Buffalo, New York! Starting off the season with a bang, the athletes brought home 1 first, 2 seconds, and 2 thirds!! Starting off the season were Luchka Athletes Olivia McGuire, Jody Lathangue and Natalie Wintels. Great job ladies!! Starting off the season strong! Stratford – festival city championships Open class – tall Jody Lathangue – 2nd Masters Class (35 and over) Jody Lathangue – 1st Natalie Wintels – 3rd Both of these classes, the tall and the masters, were the biggest classes. There were 10 in the Open –tall and 13 in the Masters. GREAT job ladies!! On Feb 28 through to March 2 was the most amazing Health and fitness weekend in the country….the ARNOLD SPORTS FESTIVAL. This is "A Weekend of Sports and A Lifetime of Fitness" with 150, 000 fitness fans walking through the expo and more than 17,000 athletes competing. There are 39 sporting events with top professional and amateur athletes from all over the world competing. A HUGE congrats to 2 Luchka Athletes, Olivia McGuire and Valerie Richman, who were INVITED to compete at the Arnold Classic. We are SO PROUD of both of them. Olivia placing in the top 15 and Valerie Richman placing 3rd. An amazing showing at one of the BEST shows in the world. Also a huge congrats to ALL of the Canadian Competitors that competed in Fitness and Figure. Canada made a strong impact at this show! Great job Canadian Girls!!

ARNOLD CLASSIC AMATEUR 2008

A HUGE Congrats to 2 Luchka Athletes, Olivia McGuire and Valerie Richman, for getting the acceptance to the 2008 Arnold Classic Amateur Competition held in Columbus Ohio. This is one of the BEST shows in the world, along with the Olympia. and this will be an honour for them both to be able to compete at this show. We are so proud of both of them! This past weekend, November 3, 2007, Canadian Classic held their final show for the season in Toronto. A big congrats goes to Luchka Athletes, Kim Bound and Michelle Avery. Kim has had a great season and made gerat gains on her physique, while Michelle bounces back after giving birth to a beautiful baby boy in Janurary. Next stop for these ladies will be the Final OPA show of the season, the London Championships on Nov 24, 2007. Congratulations to Luchka Athletes Angela Reda, Kim Tilden and Olivia McGuire on a job well done at the North Americans in Cleveland, Ohio. North Americans is the biggest figure competition with competitors all over North America competing for their Pro Card. With over 130 Figure competitiors hoping to win their Professional Status in Figure, only 3 Pro cards were given out.....2 to the top 2 overall open winners and one to the overall masters winner. Just to compete at this show is a great experience in itself.....all the beautiful suits, fabulous bodies, make up, hair and accessories all put together to display their best physique, all the practising that is involved to show their hard work, posing their bodies in such a way to show off their best features.....showing great confidence, elegance, and charm, all matters when stepping out on stage to try to earn your pro card. 2007 Nationals and June Canadian Classic

A HUGE congrats to Luchka Athletes Kim Tilden, Sheri Fisher and Valerie Richman on a great showing at the 2007 Canadian Nationals in Edmonton. This years Tall class line up was the hardest line up on this stage. The judges had a hard time trying to place all 18 competitors in this class. This was Kim Tilden's second time at Nationals, and Sheri and Valerie's first time.....all placing very well. 3rd place - Kim Tilden 6th place - Valerie Richman 9th place - Sheri Fisher Also competing the same weekend at the Canadian Classic in Toronto is Luchka Athletes Olivia McGuire. Angela Reda and Olivia McGuire both competed in the Ontario Naturals in Masters Placing 3rd and 4th respectively. Karen Caesar placed 1st in Open Tall in Level 2 and 3rd in Masters in Level 2. Angela will be competing this weekend, June 16, at the World Qualifier. All three ladies are heading to Ontarios on June 23, along with 6 of their other team members. Luchka Athletes ROCK at Mississauga Show

A BIG Congrats to Luchka Athletes Tanya Watkins and Valerie Richman on a job well done, this past weekend at the Mississauga Show. Both competed in Level 2 and qualified for Ontarios June 23. Tanya Watkins competed in the short class and took home a second place finish. Valerie Richman competed in the tall class and took home not only the first place trophy but also the Overall Figure Award. Both Athletes stood out on stage amongst the rest and presented themselves with confidence, beauty and professionalism. Congrats Ladies!!!

First Amateur Show of the Season!

Jamor productions holds one of the biggest and most popular level one amateur shows in Canada...the Festival City Championships, held in Stratford Ontario. This past weekend many amazing athletes prepared for the first show of the season. Once again Luchka Athletes made their mark! Competing this weekend in her first show ever was Tanya Watkins. Tanya is one of the newest team members, and she placed a proud second!! Congrats Tanya!! Team Member, Olivia McGuire, is featured in the May issue of Oxygen Magazine in the "Motivation" section (page 114). Olivia has been an inspiration to many...training hard, competing non stop and always on the go with her VERY athletic daughter, Elena. Elena is her biggest fan...and "coach". Read the article and you will see how involved Olivia's daughter is and how proud she is of her mom! Way to go Olivia....we are all proud of you!!! Will Elena compete next??

Nina and Team will be attending the show and She will be offering her services for tanning and make up. Pereyma High School Students ROCK!

I did a seminar at Monsignor John Pereyma High School on Safe and Natural Training, and it went very well. The students that attended asked so many questions and each of them were GREAT questions!! Kim Tilden assisted me with the seminar, and together we made a great team educating the students on this subject. I was suprised, and very excited, to see approx 69 students who were interested in learning about Training, feeding the body properly, and knowing the side effects of steroid use. I want to thank all of you that attended....you guys and girls, were all great and it was my pleasure to teach you what I know. I also want to thank Mr. Brennan for thinking of me to do this subject. This is such a passion of mine, to educate as many people possibile on everything there is to know about training, nutrition, competing, basically living the BEST and the most HEALTHY life you can. I had an hour with these students and I wish I had more! There is so much that I would love to teach them, that will have huge benefits in their future. What I know now (at 32), I wish I knew back then (at 17, 18 years old). If any of you students that attended my seminar,have any questions, please feel free to contact me anytime!! Luchka Athletes take top spots

A huge congrats to all Luchka Athletes that competed this past weekend in Brantford. This was the last show for the season and the ladies ended it well! With six team members competing at the show, four take first place and one with the overall. Congrats ladies!! You all looked fantastic. In the short class, Kim Bound bringing her leanest package to the stage, fell short of the top 5 in both Short Open and Masters categories. With all her hard work and determination, Kim will be one to keep your eyes on for next season. The Medium class title went to Olivia McGuire. This lady has been non stop competing and placing in the top 5 at all her shows, including this one where she placed 1st….a show she really wanted to win. All her dedication paid off! Olivia also placed 2nd in the Masters category. Newest team member Angela Reda competed in both open Medium Open and Grand Masters. Angela took home the first place in Grand Masters and just missed the top five in the Open medium. Angela will have a good off season and bring a whole new package to the stage for next year. Welcome to the team Angela! 1st place in Medium Tall and an Overall win goes out to teammate Kyla Lang! Kyla trained extremely hard for this show. She has made great improvements from her last competition 2 years ago. Kyla brought in the perfect package to the stage…from a great symmetrical physique, to beauty and stage presence. Sheri Fisher took home the 1st place spot in the Tall category. Training hard and having the determination, and dedication, this girl never gave up and overcame any obstacle that came her way. Sheri had the focus and wanted to win her category…..she did it. Bringing her Best physique yet to the stage, Sheri paid close attention to all the details….symmetry, suits, makeup, hair, and stage presence. She definitely stood out in the lineup displaying confidence and professionalism. She will be a strong competitor for next season. In the Grand Masters, a 3rd place finish goes to Dawn Wignall. A Proud grandmother, Dawn displays grace and beauty on the stage. She is not stopping now. Dawn is determined to keep competing and is looking forward to her off season training. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL LUCHKA ATHLETES!!! It’s time for Off Season!! YAHOOO!!!

Olivia Places well in Florida

A big congrats to Olivia McGuire who competed Nov 4 in Florida. With no Masters division and competing against girls half her age in an Open class, Olivia presented a tight, lean body, placing her 2nd. Olivia has been training hard and has made amazing improvements to her body since starting with us back in the spring of 2005. Congrats Olivia!! Keep it up!

We want to congratulate two of our athletes, Kim Bound and Sue Duarte. Both women made tremendous changes for this show and presented themselves very well. This was Sue's first show and she did amazing! Overcoming some great obstacles, Sue never gave up and pushed through it all. Kim placed in the top 5, making some great progress from her last show in the spring. Congrats to both of you!!

Luchka Athletes wants to give a shout out to First Time competitor Kathy Thompson. She has worked very hard to get to this stage. Kathy not only looked tight and fit on stage but she also presented herself very well showing no first time jitters. She had a blast and I know she is looking forward, not only for her off season, but for next season's competition. You ROCKED Kathy!! We are very proud of you!!!! Congratulations!!! Olivia On Fire!!!!

Olivia, an incredible person and outstanding competitor on the Luchka Athletes Team, is cleaning up almost every show she enters (if not every show she enters!). This weekend Olivia competed in Buffalo entering the Masters and Open, taking first in both Masters and Open and then taking the Overall title. This gal is on Fire! Look out for Olivia’s name in the News in the near future…..her season is not over yet!! GO OLIVIA!!!!!
